The Victorian Government has legislation before parliaments Environment and Planning Committee, which impacts on almost all Short Stay accommodation operators and Airbnb hosts. This is a critical time for our industry, we need your support and voice today!

We are in the final days where our industry can remind government of our importance and today we have an opportunity to help shape this critical change. If the bill goes ahead and, proposed changes are made we could see:

• Regular litigation being enforced
• Revenue could be impacted if an annual cap on nights is enforced
• Property owners may be reluctant to sign on (with property managers)
• Stricter house rules enforced by both local government and owners corporations
• Local sharing economy will ultimately be impacted
• Complaint handling process will be managed externally and a lengthy dispute resolution process may ensue resulting in longer bond retention periods which is unsustainable to our industry impacting directly on bookings
